It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Here at the Bedford Hotel, Sidmouth, we’re eagerly gearing up for the highly anticipated festive celebrations. The trees are up and the decorations are out. Our team is on hand, and we cannot wait to welcome you into our hotel where you can enjoy a warm and welcoming atmosphere, relax and embrace the spirit of the season. 

From cherished traditions to special Christmas menus filled with the best local and seasonal produce, we are committed to making this Christmas a memorable and enjoyable experience for all who choose to celebrate with us!

If you want to join us, we still have limited rooms left throughout December. You can take advantage of our ‘Festive Break in the South West’ offer, where if you book a minimum of 2 nights, you get an extra night completely free of charge. Be quick though, it’s filling up fast. 

Reflections on 2023

It‘s also at this point that I enjoy reflecting on the year gone by; and wow, what a year it’s been. The Bedford Hotel, Sidmouth is proud to have been a part of some truly memorable events and activities, but two that stand out have to be the Sidmouth Folk Festival and our first Foodie Weekend.

The vibrant atmosphere of the Sidmouth Folk Festival brought a unique energy to our community, showcasing the rich cultural tapestry of the region. We were delighted to host and be a part of this lively celebration of music, dance, and tradition. It was so great to see all of our guests enjoying it too!

Our Foodie Weekend was a weekend filled with culinary delights. From a seasonal 3-course meal on Friday night to a 5-course tasting menu from the brilliant Arbinder (MasterChef Professional Finalist) on Saturday. With home-cooked breakfasts each morning and the chance to explore our region’s incredible food and drink scene by day. It was fabulous! 

We are hoping to run many more events like this in the future, so make sure you keep an eye on our website, socials and emails for more information.

Looking forward to 2024

As we come to the end of 2023, we look forward to embracing the opportunities and new adventures of 2024. 

We will continue to offer a warm welcome to guests at our charming hotel, and we are excited to help you create new memories as well as cherished moments in the months ahead. 

To ensure that your 2024 stay with us is as good as it possibly can be, the Bedford Hotel in Sidmouth will temporarily close its doors from January 2nd to February 16th. During this period, we will be decorating and refurbishing the place to enhance our facilities and create a fresh, rejuvenated space for you, our lovely guests. 

We appreciate your understanding and support during this brief hiatus and look forward to unveiling the refreshed and upgraded Bedford Hotel when we reopen in February.

So, here’s to a new year filled with joy, laughter, and wonderful moments that we look forward to sharing with all who choose to be a part of our journey.
