Fun for all the family | a 16 food festival like no other
A 16 day food festival like no other, Taste East Devon will take place from the 9th to the 24th September 2023. The annual event celebrates the vibrant food and drink scene in East Devon and showcases local producers, restaurants, and culinary talents, offering visitors a chance to indulge in a wide array of delicious offerings.
Enjoy a whole host of events; from food markets and festivals to ‘meet the maker’ sessions and brewery tours. Some events will be ticketed and some will be open free to all the public. Here’s a few we would definitely recommend visiting:
1. Sidmouth eats boutique
Date: Friday 8th September

A family friendly, budget friendly, pop up street food market that supports small independent businesses from here in the South West.
Situated on the lawns of Kennaway House, pack up your picnic blanket, gather your friends and family and join in this informal way of dining. Enjoy sounds from local buskers and spend the evening chatting with people in our community.
2.CIty to sea taste trail at darts farm

Discover the beautiful Exe Estuary Trail and enjoy exclusive tastings and discounts at the most of the iconic pit stops, including a Darts Farm homemade gelato on your return.

3. Meet the Miller, Baker and Chutney Maker at Otterton Mill

Talk to Otterton Mill’s skilled millers and discover their secrets to creating the best traditional wholemeal flour, using traditional methods and local ingredients.
4. Sidmouth Distillery Gin School

Learn all about your favourite gin and try your hand at making your very own bottle. Use either a selection of supplied botanicals, or you can bring your own!
5. Lyme Bay Winery and Quicke’s Cheese Tasting

6. The Gut Health Revolution – A morning of talks and tasting at Darts Farm with Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall
